LOVE

Love takes time. It needs a history of giving and receiving, laughing and crying…

Love never promises instant gratification, only ultimate fulfillment.

Love means believing in someone, in something. It supposes a willingness to struggle, to work, to suffer, and to rejoice.

Satisfaction and ultimate fulfillment are by-products of dedicated love. They belong only to those who can reach beyond themselves; to whom giving is more important than receiving.

Love is doing everything you can to help others build whatever dreams they have.

Love involves much careful and active listening. It is doing whatever needs to be done, and saying whatever will promote the other’s happiness, security, and well-being. Sometimes, love hurts.

Love is on a constant journey to what others need. It must be attentive, caring and open, both to what others say and to what others cannot say.

Love says no with empathy and great compassion.

Love is firm, but when needed it must be tender.

When others have tried and failed, love is the hand in yours in your moments of discouragement and disappointment.

Love is reliable.

Love is a choice and commitment to other’s true and lasting happiness. It is dedicated to growth and fulfillment. Love is not selfish.

Love sometimes fails for lack of wisdom or abundance of weakness, but it forgives, knowing the intentions are good.

Love does not attach conditions… Genuine love is always a free gift.

Love realizes and accepts that there will be disagreements and disturbing emotions… There may be times when miles lie between, but love is a commitment. It believes, and endures all things.

Love encourages freedom of self. Love shares positive and negative reactions to warm and cold feelings.

Love, intimate love, will never reject others. It is the first to encourage and the last to condemn.

Love is a commitment to growth, happiness, and fulfillment of one another.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Believe that you have the destiny, the inane ability, to become all you expect of life. Experience all of life’s peaks and plateaus. Find the meaning of life’s struggles and accomplishments. There you will find the meaning to life and life’s work.

Trust in your deeply hidden feelings, because they show the person that you are. Take hold of each opportunity, and make the most of it.

Know the person that you are, the needs that your life contains. Search deeply to capture the essence of life. Find your limitations and build upon them. Create within yourself a person who is strong and capable of withstanding pain.

Know that life will offer some      disappointments, but remember, through those situations you become a stronger, more stable person. Don’t overlook obstacles, but work through them. Remember that each road you choose will offer some difficulty. If life were meant to be easy, there would be no challenges and no rainbows.

A CREED TO LIVE BY

Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special. Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you. Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless. Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life. Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying. Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us to one another. Don’t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave. Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give love; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings. Don’t dismiss your dreams.

To be without dreams is to be without hope; to be without hope is to

be without purpose. Don’t run through life so fast that you forget

not only where you’ve been but also where you’re going. Life is not

My Mistaken Ecstacy

Perhaps I love you before but now

I realize how wrong I was to care for you and not to care for me.

One day, a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people can be. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

            On their return from the trip, the father asked his son.“How was the trip?”

            “It was great, Dad, “ he answered.

            “Did you see how poor people can be?,” the father asked.

            “Oh yeah,” said the son.

            “So what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.

The son answered, “ I saw that we have one dog and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.”

            “Our patio reached to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others,” the boy continued.

            “We buy our food but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us and they have friends to protect them.”With this, the boy’s father was speechless. Then his son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

Just a Dream Away

I often ask myself why I'm so into you.

But it would just turn out that I haven't got a single clue.
I start everyday, not with a prayer, but with a vow
that I'll avoid you. But I end up avoiding the
shadow of my own conscience coz for the nth time
now, I failed to evade you.

You were there when I woke up. You were there when

I slept. You were there when I closed my
eyes to take a nap after a Physics test.

You were there when the rain fell on me and got my

face all wet.

Sometimes I blame you for haunting me but I
wake up to the truth that there's no one here but
me. Then I know I'd be hurting myself once more
coz I can't bear a moment without any YOU in my
horizon.

It's such a sweet torment on my part and though
the pain is piling in, there's no way I could just walk
out.

Your words come into my head and I couldn't
knock even some little sense in it once you begin
your attack. One minute I'm mad at you then after
a serene conversation, I realize that you have
painted yet another minute smile in my weary
visage.

Another split second passes me by and another
batch of cascades escape from my core. It is not
an easy task to forgive and then forget you. It
never was and never will it be.

I try to run away from your oblivion and make you
believe that I am here– no bigger than an ant–
wanting you to feel even just a little emotion, in
return for the enormous sentiment I am keeping
inside me. Man is indeed a hypocrite when he
said that in loving, there is never a need of getting
something in return. Because in my case, that is
the biggest lie.

Can you see me? I am here. Eternally feeling for
you– falling for you. can you not sympathize to my
lowly being and offer me even the littlest
compassion you can bestow?

Tonight, I shall end the day with another setting of
sun. I shall sleep in a bed of thorns and bleed in
the agony of my creation. I shall close my eyes
and revere in the mystique of your lair. For tonight,
like every other night where I lay to rest my
somnolent soul, I shall see your face amidst the
dark and succumb to the immortal vision of you
and me, breathing one air, under one sky until I
tier my heart to satisfaction.

Come tomorrow, I shall wake up to see a brand
new day and start it, not with a prayer, but with a
vow that I'll avoid you. And once again, find myself
asleep to dream of you.

There are moments in life when you miss someone
so much that you just want to pick them from you
dreams and hug them.

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want
to go; be what you want to be, because you have
only one life and one chance to do all the
things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow
to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others’ shoes. If you
feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the
other person, too. The happiest of people don’t
necessarily have the best of everything; they
just make the most of everything that comes
along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who
hurt, those who have searched and those who
tried, for only they can appreciate the
importance of people who have touched their
lives.

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and
ends with a tear.

The brightest future will always be based on a
forgotten past, you can’t to on well in life
until you let go of your past failures and
heartaches. When you were born, you were crying
and everyone around you was smiling. Live your
life so that when you die, you’re the one who is
smiling and everyone around you is crying.

sometimes i've asked myself,what would make me happy?
to think that i have everything else, i get what i want...then i realized it was YOU, too bad 'coz it's you i can't have...love can never be so beautiful without friendship...
one leads to another and the process is irreversible...the best of lovers are the greatest of friends!!! love doesn't have to have a happy ending, because love doesn't have to end at all. a man realized he wanted his love back not wanting to be hurt again. the girl said "no."the man cried out to God, "if it was meant to be, why did i lose her?" God replied, "you didn't lose her...you let her go!" when you love someone, don't expect that person to love you back the same amount. One of you will be ahead, the other behind. It's either you catch up or the other waits.

THINK OF THIS:

have you really cared for someone more than you expect?
have you ever tried to love him/her inspite of all the pain?
will you keep on loving him/her as he/she whispers someone else's name?
will you???true love hears what is not spoken, and understands
what is not explained, for love doesn't work in the
mouth, nor the mind, but in the heart...
when you love, you must not accept anything in return,
for if you do, you're not loving but investing. if you
love, you must prepare to accept pain, for if you
expect happiness, you're not loving but using...
i like you because you're my friend, and because you
are my friend i care, and because i care, i love you, i
don't love you because you are my friend, i love you because i do!

WHAT IF SOMENONE TELLS YOU THIS:
"don't believe in courtship. it's just a waste of time.
if i love a person, i'll tell her right away,
but for you i'll make an exception... just love me now, and i'll court
you forever!" never be afraid to fall in love.it may hurt a lot,
it may give you aches and pains, but if you don't follow your heart,
in the end you will cry even more for not giving love a chance.
i'm sorry if you can't love me the way you loved the
one before me, so i'll let you go to find him/her and
hope someday you'll see that the one true love you're
looking for was the one who set you free...
ain't it funny we're trying to catch the attention of
the one we think we love? we hardly notice the one
we're really looking for was just there. you don't
notice them 'till they are in the arms of someone else...
love is like standing on wet cement, the longer you
stay the harder it is to leave... and you can never go
without leaving your prints behind...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

it's better to lose your pride with someone you love
rather than lose that someone you love with your useless pride.
i can't choose who i'm going to love, but i also can't
just love who chooses to love me...and you can't
blame me in choosing to love you as much as i can't
blame you for not learning to love me."how can i say
goodbye to someone i never had? why do
tears fall for someone who was never mine? why is that
i miss someone i was never with and i ask why i love
someone who's love was never mine?" it's hard for two
people to love each other when they live in two different worlds...but
when these two orlds collide and become one, that's what you call..............magic!
don't love a person like a flower, because a flower dies in season.
love them like a river because a river flows forever...
